As the defending MLS Cup Champion Los Angeles Galaxy prepares for Wednesday’s CONCACAF Quarterfinal first leg against Toronto FC, Galaxy Vice President and former RSL member Chris Klein will join “On Frame” to talk CCL and also preview L.A.’s 2012 title defense, which kicks off Saturday at The Home Depot Center against rival Real Salt Lake. Featured on tonight’s show to give the RSL perspective on Saturday’s match is MF Ned Grabavoy, who won an MLS Cup title with the Galaxy in 2005 and factored heavily in the Claret-and-Cobalt’s MLS Cup 2009 win over L.A., as well as the multitude of RSL successes in recent years.
Utah’s #1-rated sports talk station during every month in 2011, ESPN 700 Sports Radio features RSL segments daily during the March-November regular-season, as sideline boss Jason Kreis joins Bill Riley for his weekly coach’s show (Tuesday, 4:40 p.m. MT), while General Manager Garth Lagerwey’s weekly appearance hits each Wednesday (4:25 p.m.). Riley, “The Voice of RSL,” spends the year embedded with the team alongside former player Dunseth on the TV side, while Warne and Kamler – also another former RSL player – provide pre-game, halftime and post-game analysis of every RSL gameday exclusively on ESPN700. The quartet will augment their gameday coverage with blog posts, podcasts and interviews found on RealSaltLake.com and/or at the station’s online home, ESPN700Sports.com.
