The RSL 3-Day Forecast
Friday, February 17:

  • RSL “Media Day” at Rio Tinto Stadium – media invited for b-roll & interview opportunities
    • Beckerman, Borchers, Espindola, Johnson, Morales, Olave, Rimando & Saborio: 9:00-11:00 a.m.
    • Remainder of roster: approx. 2:30-4:30 p.m.
  • Training session at Spence Eccles Field House (U. of Utah – 650 Guardsman Way)
    • Practice from 12:00 p.m.-1:30 p.m.
    • Media advised to arrive by 1:00 p.m. to ensure interview access to all players


Saturday, February 18: Training at XANGO Field in Lehi – 12:00 p.m. MT


Sunday: February 19: Annual RSL snowshoeing hike – closed access for media


* Please note that, unless otherwise indicated, RSL training sessions are entirely open to members of the media and public. While all RSL players and coaches are scheduled to be available for interviews following training session, media members looking for availability for specific players can arrange their requests through RSL Asst. RSL’s “Quick Restarts”

  • Trialist DF Kasali Casal has arrived in Salt Lake City and will participate in this afternoon’s training session at the Spence Eccles Field House. The 24-year-old left back last played for Vasas FC in the Hungarian top flight and has also plied his trade for Cambuur Leeuwarden (Holland), Swindon Town (England) and D.C. United, where he made his first-team debut at the professional level with four appearances back in 2007.


  • Exactly one month remains until Real Salt Lake opens its 2012 home slate at Rio Tinto Stadium against the New York Red Bulls! RSL fans can be on the lookout for a way to win a pair of tickets to the home opener against Thierry Henry, Rafael Marquez & Co. across RSL’s various multimedia platforms later this afternoon.
