The Major League Soccer world was stunned on Monday night upon hearing news of the passing of FC Dallas legend Bobby Rhine, who was lost too soon after an apparent heart attack at just 35 years of age. Real Salt Lake Head Coach Jason Kreis gave the following comment on Tuesday on the loss of his longtime teammate and friend:
"Bobby Rhine was one of the finest individuals I have ever
had the sheer pleasure of being around. I will always remember the joy that he
brought to every training session, every game, and every social encounter we
ever had. He was truly, truly special.
"He was a talented and passionate soccer player, a man who always looked at life with a bright and positive outlook, and a remarkable family man. All of my thoughts and prayers go out to his entire family. I have lost a dear, dear friend, but we have all lost so much more than that - one of the truly great ones."
