U.S. Army Medic Nick Moore to Be Honored as Saturday’s RSL/American Express “Hero Among Us”
Real Salt Lake and American Express are proud to recognize United States Army Medic Nick Moore as the lead-off recipient of the “Heroes Among Us” award during the second year of the community recognition program. A husband and father of two, Moore is currently stationed in Fort Carson, Colo., and will be leaving on his first deployment overseas later this spring after making the tough and valiant decision to put others’ lives before his own by enlisting in the military a year ago.
Nick’s wife, Angela, says that the two greatest loves in his life are his family and Real Salt Lake, so it only makes sense that he requested to spend his last day of leave with his family at Saturday’s match against Los Angeles at Rio Tinto Stadium. Real Salt Lake and American Express were more than happy to oblige the request and are honored to recognize Moore for his unselfish act of service and charity by making him the first of several “Heroes Among Us” this 2011 season.
