Details Regarding Friday’s Post-game Fireworks Extravaganza,
Presented by Les Olson Company
Friday's
Post-game Fireworks Celebration, presented by Les Olson Company, will begin approximately 15 minutes
after the end of Friday’s final whistle. Please note that, in accordance with
local safety guidelines regarding the display's firing zone, Rio Tinto Stadium
officials will close the north side of the Stadium Way ring road beginning
in the 75th minute of the match and will re-open the road 10 minutes
following the fireworks show.
Due to
this closure affecting the northwest Spanish staircase entrance, fans are
encouraged to remain in the stadium briefly following the fireworks display.
Fans with vehicles parked in the Stadium’s North lots (including 9000 South and
Monroe Way) will not be able to access the pedestrian bridge from the 75th
minute until the 10-minute post-display window has expired. All remaining
entrances/exits will not be impacted by this temporary road closure.

Broc
Stutz Honored as Friday’s RSL/American Express “Heroes Among Us”
Real Salt Lake and American Express are proud to honor Broc Stutz as this Friday’s recipient of the “Heroes Among Us” award for not once, but twice coming to the aid of strangers in need in recent months.
The
West Jordan native first came to the aid of a fellow Comfort Inn & Suites
employee whose purse was snatched by a robber on the property, chasing the
perpetrator through Pioneer Park – and suffering a bruised jaw in the process –
before police were able to intervene. Then this past February, Stutz noticed an
elderly man that had slipped on ice on an adjacent property and suffered a
severe cut to his head. In a heavy snowstorm, Stutz rushed to the man’s aid
with blankets in tow to help the gentleman stay warm and stave off shock until
paramedics arrived 20 minutes later.
Stutz
serves as a fine example not only to his own children, but to the youth soccer
players he coaches for Utah Soccer Alliance and in the Kearns Recreational
League. For his shining examples of helping others in need, RSL and American
Express are proud to present Stutz with an RSL jersey that signifies him as a
true “Hero Among Us.”
