Real Monarchs Welcome New Mexico United

HERRIMAN, Utah (Tuesday, June 29, 2021) – Real Monarchs host New Mexico United at Zions Bank Stadium for College Colors Night on Wednesday, June 30 in the team’s fourth match in twelve days.


Kickoff is set for 8:00 p.m. MT and can be streamed live on ESPN+ and locally on the KSL TV app.

The previous match between these clubs was played earlier this month on June 4 at Zions Bank Stadium. The away side claimed the full three points with a 1-0 win.

Connections: New Mexico United defender Kalen Ryden spent two seasons with Real Monarchs from 2018-2019, recording nine goals and three assists in 67 appearances. His last goal for the Monarchs was the equalizer in the 48th minute of the Western Conference Semifinals, helping the club on its way to the USL Championship Title in 2019.


In addition, New Mexico forward Devon Sandoval was selected 29th overall by Real Salt Lake in the 2013 MLS SuperDraft and recorded 11 goals and five assists in 87 appearances from 2013-2016. Sandoval also made six appearances for Real Monarchs between 2015-2016, where he added a goal and an assist.
