HERRIMAN, Utah (Thursday, June 8, 2023) – Real Monarchs have signed attacking midfielder Darón Iskenderian to an MLS NEXT Pro professional contract. Iskenderian is available for selection in the team's upcoming match against LA Galaxy II at Zions Bank Stadium on Friday, June 9 at 8:00 p.m. MT.
“Daron is a young, dynamic attacking player that can contribute in multiple positions in the front half of the field” said Assistant General Manager Tony Beltran. “We welcome his addition to the Real Monarchs roster, and look forward to his continued development on our campus.”
Iskenderian, 21, joins Real Monarchs from Las Vegas Lights of the USL Championship where he appeared in 26 matches in the 2022 season, recording a goal and an assist during that time. Born in Los Angeles, California, Iskenderian has been a part of the Armenia Youth National Team, most recently appearing in UEFA U-21 Championship qualification against Serbia.
