HERRIMAN, Utah (Friday, June 16, 2023) - Real Monarchs (4-8-1, 14 pts., 12th West) close out a two-game week hosting St. Louis City 2 (2-6-5, 18pts., 9th West) after having lost their midweek match against Vancouver Whitecaps 2. The Monarchs have been unable to pick up more than five points in their previous seven matches. Sunday will mark the first meeting between St. Louis City 2 and the Monarchs during the 2023 campaign.

Real Monarchs lost to Vancouver Whitecaps 2 this past Thursday dropping points in the 1-0 result. Despite starting the first-half strong by outshooting Vancouver, the Monarchs were unable to find the back of the net at the end of first half heading to the locker room drawn 0-0. The Monarchs despite continuing to pressure Vancouver throughout the second half fell 1-0 to the Canadian side.

Following Sunday's match against St. Louis CITY 2, Real Monarchs will prepare for a trip to the City of Roses the following week where they will face Timbers 2 (June 25) who they previously thrashed 5-1 at home on April 30.
