Monarchs Return Home for Showdown Against SKC II

Real Monarchs (1-2-0, 3 points, 10th in West) return home after earning its first win of the season on the road over San Jose Earthquakes II, courtesy of a game-winning goal from RSL Academy product Terron Williams. The Monarchs will face their rival Sporting Kansas City II (1-1-1, 5 points, 8th in West) this Friday, April 14 at 8:00 p.m. MT. Returning home, the Monarchs will look to earn their first win of the season at Zions Bank Stadium, a place the team saw great success at the end of the 2022 season. 

Friday’s match, as well as all Real Monarchs matches this season, will be streamed live via www.MLSnextPro.com and through MLS Season Pass on Apple TV.

Head-to-Head: Prior to competing in MLS NEXT Pro both Real Monarchs and Sporting Kansas City II (formerly Swope Park Rangers) competed in the USL Championship. The Monarchs held a commanding record against SKC II in the USL Championship finishing with a 3-1-1 record against their rivals before making the jump to MLS NEXT Pro. In MLS NEXT Pro Real Monarchs and SKC II have met twice and have split both games. The win for the Monarchs came at home in July when Benjamin Rodriguez scored a goal in stoppage time, proving to be the game-winner.
