The RSL Academy capped its season in the 2019 U.S. Soccer Development Academy playoffs in early-July and throughout the season, midfielder Jordan Pena remained a staple in the center of the pitch for the Academy.
For his efforts with the Academy, Pena earned a place in the Best XI in the West region of the USSDA for the U-19 contingent. Pena signed his first professional contract ahead of the 2019 USL Championship season with Real Monarchs SLC and has since posted 599 minutes in eight matches played. For the Academy, Pena finished the year having featured in 20 matches - 18 of which were starts - playing in RSL's midfield.
