After Saturday’s match, it looks like a couple usual bench players could be good contenders for a starting spot.

Randall Serr from RSL Soapbox went over in his article Tuesday three players that he thought excelled in KC. These players include, Justen Glad, Luke Mulholland and Joao Plata.
Each one of these guys brought a major spark to the game. Glad not only got the first goal in his MLS career, but he also displayed impeccable defensive skills. He did make a couple mistakes but overall gave Dom Dwyer a run for his money.
Mulholland was a usual starter last season but has been a sub mainly this year. He proved on Saturday that he should not be overlooked. He not only scored the securing goal for the win but was a great asset in the offensive play.
Plata clearly was a statement piece for RSL on Saturday. Not only can he make set pieces happen, he opens up the play and makes things happen up top.
