Sunday Stephen Obayan made quite an impression in his first MLS home match for Real Salt Lake on Saturday. His first-half goal lifted RSL from a one-goal deficit and led the Claret-and-Cobalt on the charge toward a 2-1 comeback win over the rival Seattle Sounders.
Sunny made a curling run to the penalty spot while Joao Plata sent a corner kick in from the right side. Beating his marker to the spot, Sunny headed his shot into the corner of the net to make it 1-1 in the 43rd minute and his effort was nominated for MLSsoccer.com’s Goal of the Week.
