Real Salt Lake Owner Dell Loy Hansen Restructures Front Office

Dell Loy Hansen - Cassar Announcement 2014

SANDY, Utah (Tuesday, August 18, 2015) – Real Salt Lake Owner Dell Loy Hansen today announced that the club will undergo a front office restructuring, mutually agreeing to part ways with former President Bill Manning, whose contract has expired.

“Bill has obviously done an outstanding job building this club from its infancy, and we wish him well in his future endeavors,” said Hansen, who joined the RSL ownership group in Fall of 2009 and became sole owner in January 2013.

“As we move into the second decade of our existence, our growing organization requires a different structure. As a result, several senior executives within our company will assume greater roles across various departments, with a focus on integration and expanding our ability to capture championships, on and off the field.”

This week, Mr. Hansen will immerse himself with the staff, identifying areas of growth and need for 2016 and beyond, as well as addressing both short-term and long-term planning processes for Real Salt Lake (MLS), Real Monarchs (USL), the clubs’ Rio Tinto Stadium home, the RSL-AZ Academy, youth structure and ancillary businesses that support the RSL landscape.

Real Salt Lake, which leads its 2015/16 CONCACAF Champions League group but was knocked out of the 2015 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup with a Semifinal loss last week in Kansas City, returns to action Saturday at Rio Tinto Stadium against the Seattle Sounders FC in a critical Western Conference match, kicking off at 8:00 p.m. MT. Pregame for the match on ESPN 700 AM is at 7:00, while regional television coverage on KMYU and American Sports Network affiliates begins at 7:30 p.m. MT.
