News Stand: The time is now for RSL

Sebastian Jaime vs Portland

News Stand 6/9/15

On Sunday, fans were finally able to see the 4-3-3 formation with the attacking trio of Joao Plata, Alvaro Saborio and Sebastian Jaime for the first time this season.  However, as Conner Johnson of the Deseret News writes, Head Coach Jeff Cassar was happy with their play even if the fitness was lacking.

“Although Cassar has technically had the formation in effect since the start of the season, with Plata back fans can actually see the club taking the offensive front in search of the early goal,” wrote Johnson.

The return of Plata and Jaime to the attacking trio couldn’t have come at a better time for RSL as they play six of the next eight games at home. As the season’s halfway point gets close, RSL will need to make a run to move up the standings before the playoffs.
