News Stand: RSL Needs to Fight to Make Playoffs

Joao Plata pregame vs Colorado 0608

News Stand 6/8/15

After a scoreless draw against the last place Colorado Rapids, Real Salt Lake will need to fight to keep their current streak of post season appearances alive.  So writes columnist Kurt Kragthorpe of the Salt Lake Tribune.

Goalkeeper Nick Rimando was adamant afterward that the team wanted more from the first in string of games that will have RSL play six out of eight at home in June and July.

“Zero-zero draw. We wanted more. I don’t know what else to say.  You’ve got win your home games,” he said.

After the game, head coach Jeff Cassar, stayed positive and talked of things the team did well during the game.

“Yet, as RSL approaches the hallway point of the MLS, this is getting interesting -- and he knows it,” writes Kragthorpe.

With still five of the next seven games at home for RSL the time to make a push for the playoffs is now. To read Kurt Kragthorpe’s full column in the Salt Lake Tribune and other news about Real Salt Lake, click on the links below.
