Jeff Attinella knew in preseason that he would have opportunities to play this year while Nick Rimando is away on international duty. Sunday marked the first of those as Attinella stepped in for Rimando against Toronto FC and was every bit up to the task, making five saves in a 2-1 victory.
One of those saves, off a laser beam free kick from Sebastian Giovinco in the second half, is among five finalists for MLS Save of the Week.
