SANDY, Utah – Real Salt Lake will officially begin its 11th season on Friday, when players will report to Salt Lake City for entrance physicals.  The Claret-and-Cobalt will begin preseason training under Head Coach Jeff Cassar on Saturday before heading to Grande Sports World – the home of the Real Salt Lake-Arizona Academy – just outside of Casa Grande, Ariz. for its first preseason training camp on Monday.

RSL will train at Grande Sports World from Jan. 26-31.  During that time, RSL will play a match against the New England Revolution before returning briefly to Salt Lake City.

The second leg of camp will see RSL head to Southern California on Feb. 3.  The team will train at the University of California-Irvine in Irvine, Calif. from Feb. 3-12 and play in two matches – one against UC-Irvine on Feb. 7 and a second against USL PRO side OC Blues on Feb. 12, both matches at Anteater Stadium.

Following its trip to Irvine, the team will head back to Utah for a weekend before returning to Arizona on Feb. 15 for a two-week stint in Tucson to participate in the FC Tucson Desert Diamond Cup preseason tournament.  This will be Real Salt Lake’s fourth consecutive year in the round-robin competition and RSL will face the New England Revolution, USL PDL’s FC Tucson and Sporting Kansas City.

The FC Tucson Desert Diamond Cup will begin on Feb. 18 and will conclude with the Championship and consolation matches on Feb. 28.  A full schedule and ticketing information for all of the 2015 MLS Preseason games in Tucson can be found at www.FCTucson.com.

Following the FC Tucson Desert Diamond Cup, RSL will return to Utah to begin final preparations for its MLS season opener on Saturday, March 7 at the Portland Timbers.  Following the opener in Portland, RSL will open its 2015 home schedule on Saturday, March 14, when it will host the Philadelphia Union at 7:30 p.m. MT at Rio Tinto Stadium.
