If there’s anyone who can beat out Nick Rimando for MLS Save of the Year, it may just be Nick Rimando.
The Real Salt Lake goalkeeper has two saves in Group 1 of the Semifinal Round of MLS Save of the Year voting. The first one on the list was his Week 21 save against the Colorado Rapids, diving to his right to save a Deshorn Brown shot from outside the box. The second is an improbably scoop save against the San Jose Earthquakes in Week 25, keeping Atiba Harris out of the net.
Rimando led the league with a 1.04 goals against average, finishing 13-4-7 with seven shutouts.
Voting runs through 12:59 am MT on Saturday with the top vote-getter in each group will advance to the Final Round.
