For the second time this season, Real Salt Lake midfielder Kyle Beckerman scored the AT&T MLS Goal of the Week.
Beckerman’s 73rd minute goal gave RSL a 2-0 win over Chivas USA in the regular season finale. Through online voting at MLSSoccer.com, it narrowly edged out goals by New York’s Bradley Wright-Phillips and Portland’s Maximiliano Urruti, earning 24.46-percent of the vote to 23.13-percent for Wright-Phillips and 22.33-percent for Urruti.
Beckerman scored three goals in 28 matches in the 2014 season, earning Goal of the Week in Week 2 and Week 33. Both are entered into the MLS Goal of the Year pool, which is now up for a vote here.
