SANDY, Utah - Real Salt Lake defender Chris Wingert has been nominated for MLS Save of the Week, his first nomination this season.
Wingert was a man on fire during Saturday night's loss to the LA Galaxy, constantly doing his part to disrupt the Galaxy's relentless offensive attack. Wingert's nominated save came in the 58' as Robbie Keane and Landon Donovan slipped past the RSL defense looking for the go-ahead goal. Keane passed to Donovan who attempted to lob a shot over a diving Nick Rimando. Chris Wingert was there on the goalline to make the stop with his chest on what would have been a guaranteed score for LA otherwise.
