SANDY, Utah - Real Salt Lake goalkeeper Nick Rimando won his sixth Save of the Week award of the year on Friday, blowing out the competition to take home 74.44 percent of the vote.
Rimando won the honor - RSL's eighth of the season - for his fantastic double save in the second half of last Saturday's 2-2 draw at Colorado. The veteran 'keeper beat out Philadelphia's Zac MacMath, Columbus's Matt Lampson, Kansas City's Jimmy Nielsen and Chicago's Sean Johnson to take how the award.
Rimando and the rest of his RSL teammates will return to action on Saturday, when they'll host the Houston Dynamo at 7:30 p.m. at Rio Tinto Stadium. Get your tickets for the match here.
