SANDY, Utah – Real Salt Lake forwards Alvaro Saborio and Robbie Findley, defender Nat Borchers and midfielder Cole Grossman all returned to practice on Wednesday, with Borchers, Findley and Grossman participating fully and Saborio training as a neutral.
All four players have missed time due to injury or illness. Borchers missed RSL’s last two matches due to the flu; Findley and Saborio were out for the last four games due to a left knee hyperextension and a right quad tear, respectively; and Grossman has been out since suffering a concussion against FC Dallas on March 23.
Real Salt Lake Head Coach Jason Kreis told reporters after Wednesday’s practice that he’s hopeful that all four players would be available for this Sunday’s match road match against Western Conference foe Chivas USA at the Home Depot Center. Sunday’s game will kickoff at 8:30 p.m. MT and will be broadcast live on CW30, ESPN 700 AM and 102.3 La Gran D FM/1600 AM.
