San Jose to Serve as RSL’s Opposition for Saturday’s
Annual Pioneer Day Celebration Contest, presented by Les Olson Company;

SANDY, Utah (Monday, July 18, 2011) – After seeing last weekend’s contest in Vancouver postponed, Real Salt Lake (8-3-6, 30 pts.; 4th in West) will now get to start the second half of its 2011 MLS regular season slate at home this Saturday, July 23, when the Utah side welcomes the San Jose Earthquakes (5-6-8, 23 pts.; T-6th in West) to Rio Tinto Stadium for its annual Pioneer Day Celebration contest. Both the 8:00 p.m. MT kickoff in Sandy and the traditional post-game fireworks display will be presented by Les Olson Company.
Tickets for what is always one of the biggest dates on RSL’s calendar remain available and can be purchased online at www.RealSaltLake.com, over the phone at 801-727-2700 or in person at the Rio Tinto Stadium Box Office weekdays from 10:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m. MT and on gameday beginning at 10:00 a.m. Saturday’s events will begin with the Carnival Real pre-game festival on the stadium’s East Lawn at 6:00 p.m., followed by the opening of gates to the public at 7:00 p.m.
