Home Contest vs. Philadelphia Union Changed to Sept. 3 to Accommodate CCL Final

In conjunction with Major League Soccer, Real Salt Lake and the Philadelphia Union today announced that their regular season meeting at Rio Tinto Stadium, originally scheduled for next Saturday, April 23, will now take place on Saturday, Sept. 3, the League fixture moving to accommodate Real Salt Lake’s appearance in the CONCACAF Champions League Finals against Mexican side Monterrey.

With the date change, all tickets that were issued for April 23 (including season tickets) ARE VALID for Sept. 3. RSL Season Ticket holders that cannot make the Sept. 3 date can exchange for one of the normal exchange dates on May 7, June 4, July 30, Sept. 17 or Sept. 28. For Pass of All Passes rain checks that were handed out prior to the March 26 match against Los Angeles, those will now be redeemable for either the May 7 or Sept. 3 contests.

On April 20 and 27, Real Salt Lake aims to become the first MLS club since 2000 to capture a regional club championship and be the first MLS club to participate in the prestigious, seven-team FIFA Club World Cup, scheduled for December in Japan. Real Salt Lake travels to face reigning Mexican League champion Monterrey next Wednesday, April 20 (8:00 p.m. MT on FOX Soccer and TeleFutura), in the first leg of the two-game, aggregate goals final, and then return home to Rio Tinto Stadium for the decisive second leg on April 27 (8:00 p.m. MT on FOX Soccer and TeleFutura).
