Utah (Sunday, March 13, 2011) – Real
Salt Lake will carry the torch for both the United States and Major League Soccer
in the CONCACAF Champions League Semifinal
Round, which begins this Tuesday,
March 15 when the Utah side will play host to three-time regional champion Deportivo Saprissa of Costa Rica. Kickoff
at Rio Tinto Stadium in Sandy, where
Real Salt Lake will hope to further its 34-match home undefeated streak across all
competitions, is set for 8:00 p.m. MT.
RSL is the first MLS team to qualify for the CONCACAF Champions League’s
version of the “Final Four” since the tournament switched formats for the
2008/09 competition.
Tickets for Tuesday’s historic
contest in Sandy remain available and can be purchased online at www.RealSaltLake.com,
over the phone at 801-727-2700, or
in person at the Rio Tinto Stadium Box
Office, Monday-Saturday from 10:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m. MT. Fans that can’t make it down to Sandy can
watch the contest live on FOX Soccer
and Galavision or listen live over
the radio airwaves on ESPN 700 (America First Credit Union Pre-match Report
@ 7:00 p.m.), ESPN Deportes 1600-AM,
and Juan 106.1-FM. Fans will also be
able to follow the proceedings from Rio Tinto Stadium online via a live
streaming video feed on CONCACAF.com (access is free, registration
required) and the club’s official Twitter feed (@RealSaltLake).
