Coverage for Utah-Boise State Showdown in MAACO Bowl Las Vegas

LAKE CITY (Tuesday, December 14, 2010) – ESPN 700 Sports Radio will serve as
Utah’s radio headquarters during the upcoming college bowl season, with the “Home
of the Utes” providing the most in-depth coverage in the build-up to the #19-rankedUniversity of Utah’s appearance in the MAACO Bowl Las Vegas next
Wednesday, December 22 against the #10Boise State Broncos. The
MAACO Bowl Las Vegas will be just one of 23 bowl games hitting the airwaves
on ESPN 700 throughout the next month, culminating with all five Bowl
Championship Series contests, including the Tostitos BCS National
Championship Game between #1 Auburn and #2 Oregon on Monday, January 10.
The
bowl season begins this Saturday, December 18 at 12:00 p.m. MT, when the
BYU Cougars will square off against Conference USA’s UTEP Miners
in the New Mexico Bowl down in Albuquerque. See below for ESPN 700’s

Bowl (Saturday), R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl (Saturday), Beef ‘O’ Brady’s St.
Petersburg Bowl (Tuesday, Dec. 21), San Diego County Credit Union Poinsettia
Bowl (Thursday, Dec. 23), and the Sheraton Hawaii Bowl (Friday, Dec. 24) before
the Christmas holiday.
Every
weekday afternoon from 2:00-6:00 p.m. MT, the “Bill & Spence”
Show with Bill Riley & Spencer Checketts is the place to be for
all things MAACO Bowl Las Vegas. The wall-to-wall coverage continued Monday
when the guys somehow kept pace with Utah wide receiver and special teams
standout Shaky Smithson before talking with Broncos play-by-play voice Bob
Behler to get the Boise State perspective on the match-up. Both of those
interviews, in addition to yesterday’s weekly press conference with head coach Kyle

the next week, as the Runnin’ Utes men’s basketball squad will play host
to the Broncos Friday night at the Huntsman Center. Pre-game coverage on
the “Home of the Utes” will begin at 6:30 p.m. MT, with tip-off on “The
Hill” following at 7:00 p.m. ESPN 700’s live weekend sports coverage continues
Sunday, when the Dallas Cowboys and Washington Redskins will renew one
of the NFL’s most intense rivalries. The NFC East grudge match kicks off at 11:00
