Think the only big MLS match this week is in Los Angeles? Think again.
There's plenty at stake in the Mountain Time Zone too, where Real Salt Lake play host to the Colorado Rapids on Saturday in the first matchup of this year's Rocky Mountain Cup. Colorado lead the series 9-6-3 since the rivalry was born in 2005, but Real Salt Lake got the last laugh in 2009, when they used an emphatic 3-0 win over the Rapids in the season finale to vault into postseason and eventually win the first MLS Cup in franchise history.
This year both teams seem fit for a postseason charge, but they'll have to bang heads on Saturday before they wrap up the series Oct. 23 at Dick's Sporting Goods Park.
