Details for Saturday’s Post-game Fireworks Extravaganza, Presented by Salt Lake Regional Medical Center
Saturday’s Post-game Fireworks Celebration, presented by Salt Lake Regional Medical Center, will begin approximately 20 minutes after the game’s final whistle. In accordance with local safety guidelines regarding the display's firing zone, Rio Tinto Stadium officials will close the north side of the Stadium Way ring road beginning in the 75th minute of the match and will re-open the road 10 minutes following the fireworks show.
Due to this closure affecting the northwest Spanish staircase entrance, fans are encouraged to remain in the stadium briefly following the fireworks display. Fans with vehicles parked in the Stadium’s North lots (including 9000 South and Monroe Way) will not be able to access the pedestrian bridge from the 75th minute until the 10-minute window has expired.  All remaining entrances/exits will not be impacted by this temporary road closure.

Utah Transit Authority advises its riders and the public of changes to bus, TRAX and FrontRunner service for Utah’s Pioneer Day holiday. This Saturday, TRAX will run on a Sunday schedule with additional late trains to accommodate the RSL match-up against Chivas USA at Rio Tinto Stadium. The finaltrain to depart from the 9400 South/Sandy Expo Station for downtown Salt Lake will leave the station 45 minutes after the conclusion of the fireworks display. RSL to Recognize Rimando’s 100th Win and 2010 MLS All-Stars

In between the final whistle and the night’s fireworks display, Real Salt Lake will also recognize the four members of the Claret-and-Cobalt selected to participate in the 2010 MLS All-Star game – Rimando, midfielders Kyle Beckerman and Javier Morales, and defender Jamison Olave. While Beckerman has announced his intention to skip the All-Star festivities to concentrate on returning to 100% following a left foot injury, Morales, Olave, and Rimando will join their fellow MLS players in Houston next Monday in preparation for Wednesday’s 2010 AT&T MLS All-Star Game at Reliant Stadium against famed English Premier League side Manchester United (6:30 p.m. MT kickoff on ESPN2 and TeleFutura).

Mike Millgate Honored as Saturday’s RSL/American Express “Heroes Among Us”
Real Salt Lake and American Express are proud to honor Mike Millgate as this Saturday’s recipient of the “Heroes Among Us” award for going the extra mile – or, as will be the case, miles – for area foster children. Mr. Millgate and his wife recently added to their family by adopting a son through the foster care system, and his kindness and generosity resulted in him being named one of five 2010 “Foster Fathers of the Year” by KSL at its Family Fair at The Gateway last month during Father’s Day weekend.
In future months, Millgate will turn his attention to spreading the word and raising money for the foster care system by hitting the road. When he participates in his first marathon this August, Mike will use the opportunity to earn money for the Utah Foster Care Foundation through his website, http://www.run2100.com, where supporters can donate. The Riverton native is also organizing a team for the Ragnar Relay from Logan to Park City next June, during which he and his team will be wearing “run-2-100” shirts to promote this worthy cause.
For being a loving father to his growing family and serving as a caring example for the foster care system, RSL and American Express are proud to present Mike Millgate with an RSL jersey that signifies him as a true “Hero Among Us.”
